National Children’s Grief Awareness Day

November 15, 2012 is National Children’s Grief Awareness Day.

This photo was taken of a boy who participated in Professor Child’s Children and Grief film. This film is scheduled to be released before the end of the year.

We are happy to support the National Alliance for Grieving Children as they raise awareness of National Children’s Grief Awareness Day. Observed each year on the third Thursday of November, Children’s Grief Awareness Day reminds grieving children they are not alone. This time of year is a particularly appropriate time as the holiday season is especially difficult after a death.  Children’s Grief Awareness Day seeks to bring attention to the importance of being sensitive to the needs of grieving children and their families and that caring support can make all the difference in their lives.
